WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
Altitude & Acclimatization
This trek reaches elevations above 4,000 metres, where altitude can affect even fit hikers. The itinerary is designed with gradual acclimatization, but participants should be aware of symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, or shortness of breath. Our guides closely monitor the group and adjust pace when needed. A flexible mindset and honest communication are essential.
Accommodation Style
In Marrakech: Riad or 3★ hotel (local standards)
Bivouacs: Two-person tents with mats. A Berber tent is provided for evening meals and socializing. Washing is done near streams or water points; rustic comfort.
Refuge: 1 night at the Toubkal Refuge in a shared dormitory.
Luggage Transport
During the trek, your main luggage is carried daily by mule, so you only need a light daypack with essentials such as water, snacks, and extra layers.
Sleeping Setup
Shared Tents: Typically 2 people per tent
Sleeping Mats: Provided for all participants
Sleeping Bag: Participants should bring a warm sleeping bag suitable for cold mountain nights

Arrive in Marrakech and meet your guide. Evening briefing covers the trek, gear, and logistics. Time to settle in and explore the city at your leisure.

Drive into the scenic Ourika Valley. Begin hiking along traditional mule trails through Berber villages and terraced fields. Afternoon and evening are spent relaxing at a local guesthouse.
Trekking: ~5 h, 500 m ascent

Early start to climb Tizi‑N’Tachdirt pass, with panoramic views of the High Atlas. Descend to the village of Tachdirt, where the team sets up bivouac tents for the night. Evenings allow time to rest, chat, and enjoy the mountain setting.
Trekking: 6–6.5 h, 1,700 m ascent
Accommodation: Mountain bivouac

Cross Tizi‑N’Tamatert pass and descend through pine forests to Imlil village. Afternoon is free for rest, photography, or exploring the local village before dinner at camp.
Trekking: 4–5 h, 800 m ascent/descent
Accommodation: Bivouac camping

Ascend from Imlil through Aremd and Sidi Chamharouche to the refuge. Afternoon allows time to rest, enjoy the mountain environment, and prepare for the summit attempt the next day.
Trekking: ~5 h, 1,300 m ascent
Accommodation: Toubkal Refuge (shared dormitory)
Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Pre-dawn start for the summit of Mount Toubkal (4,167 m). Celebrate the panoramic views, then descend to Sidi Chamharouche. Evening is for relaxing and recounting the summit experience.
Trekking: ~7 h, 2,500 m ascent/descent
