THE STORY BEHIND TENT
TENT was born from a shared passion between my sister and me. Growing up in Thailand, we were surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes and challenging mountain trails. Around ten years ago, while I was in my first year of university, we began exploring these trails through multi-day hikes and camping adventures.
What started as a hobby soon became something deeper. Trekking not only allowed us to connect with nature, but also introduced us to the rich cultural heritage of local communities, especially the hill tribes in northern Thailand. Each journey offered a sense of freedom and accomplishment — walking at our own pace, resting when needed, and feeling a true sense of achievement upon reaching each summit. Over time, our personal experiences inspired us to start something more meaningful. Four years ago, we established a trekking tour company in Thailand, offering guided multi-day hikes. We’ve seen first-hand how interest in outdoor experiences has grown among Thai people, and we’re proud to contribute to the rise of trekking as a lifestyle for a new generation.
Two years ago, I made the decision to move to Australia in search of new opportunities and perspectives. I worked full-time across different roles, but eventually faced burnout a moment that reminded me of what truly brought me peace and joy is being in nature.
That realisation led to a new chapter. Together with my partner, I began exploring the Australian wilderness, and the idea to expand our trekking philosophy here took shape.
Today, TENT – Trek Escape in Nature Tour reflects both our roots and our evolution. We are committed to creating meaningful, guided hiking experiences that allow people to reconnect with nature, challenge themselves, and rediscover balance. No matter where they are in the world.
Today, our company in Thailand has grown beyond hiking.
We now offer a wider range of outdoor activities — including scuba diving, kayaking, rock climbing, caving, and more.
