San Nok Wua (Cow Ridge) Trek

Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand

Season: October–February

Price: 850 AUD / person

San Nok Wua, also known as Cow Ridge, is one of the most rewarding trekking routes in Khao Laem National Park, Kanchanaburi. This two-day journey leads through dense evergreen forest, gentle valleys, and ridgelines overlooking the vast waters of Vajiralongkorn (Khao Laem) Dam.

The highlight of this trek is standing atop San Nok Wua at sunrise, where mountain layers stretch endlessly into the distance and, on lucky mornings, a sea of mist drifts through the valleys below. Even without mist, the golden light spilling across the forested mountains creates a breathtaking atmosphere.

This trek blends moderate physical challenge with rich natural immersion — from birdsong echoing through the forest to subtle signs of wildlife along the trail — making it ideal for hikers seeking a classic Thai jungle trekking experience.
