Camping Style
This trek involves remote wilderness camping with no established facilities. Campers may sleep in tents or hammocks depending on conditions. Campsites are exposed and basic, offering a true backcountry experience.
Food
Meals are simple, energy-focused, and prepared by the trekking team or carried as rations. Hot meals are provided where possible, along with morning coffee or tea. Dietary requirements must be advised well in advance.
Facilities
There are no toilets, showers, electricity, or mobile signal at campsites. This trek requires full self-sufficiency and a strong outdoor mindset.

Trip Itinerary

We arrive at Khun Jae National Park in the morning, where there is time to freshen up and enjoy a light breakfast. After meeting local guides and porters, gear is organised and packed lunches are distributed.
A short pickup transfer brings us to the Radar Base, where trekking begins. The trail ascends toward Doi Pha Ngom (1,764 m), following rocky terrain with steep slopes, tall grass, and narrow ridges that require careful navigation.
After lunch on the trail, we continue trekking along exposed ridgelines toward the base camp. By late afternoon, tents are set up and gear is arranged.
As the sun sets, nearby viewpoints offer dramatic views across the highlands. Dinner is shared at camp, followed by rest under a quiet night sky.

Before dawn, we hike to the summit of Doi Lang Luang (2,031 m). As the sun rises, golden light reveals a vast panorama of surrounding peaks — including Doi Pha Ngom, Doi Mod, Doi Inthanon, and, on clear days, Chiang Dao.
After coffee and pastries, we return to camp for breakfast, pack gear, and continue trekking toward Doi Lang Noi. The trail is gentler than the previous day, passing through evergreen forest, pine woodland, grasslands, and small waterfalls.
By mid-afternoon, we arrive at Doi Lang Noi camp, set up tents, and rest. In the evening, we hike to the summit (1,800 m) to watch sunset and visit the small hilltop temple. The exposed summit offers sweeping views and strong winds — warm layers are essential.
Dinner is served back at camp, followed by stargazing and rest.

We wake early for sunrise at Doi Lang Noi summit, enjoying the final mountain views with hot coffee. After breakfast, camp is packed and carefully cleaned before beginning the descent.
The trail winds down toward Mae Ton Luang village, passing narrow paths and forested slopes rich with wildflowers such as Siam Tulips, Dendrobium orchids, and Stone Roses.
Upon arrival, we enjoy cold drinks before transferring back to Khun Jae National Park for showers and lunch. In the afternoon, we begin the journey onward, with a possible dinner stop along the way.
